Misty Green is a violinist from Longmont, Colorado who has been playing for nearly 15 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Colorado State University, where she studied with Ron Francois. At CSU she was a member of multiple chamber groups and operas, including The Magic Flute and Every Good Boy Deserves Favor. Misty played as both principal second and concertmaster in the CSU symphonic orchestra, directed by Wes Kenney. 

In addition to her work with the FCO, Misty also directs the Mile High Freedom String Orchestra in Denver, Colorado. During the day, Misty teaches middle school orchestra and guitar at Westlake Middle School in the Adams 12 school district.

Misty plays a violin made in London in 1820 by Henry Thompson. The lion on the scroll is named Leopold.
