The Flatirons Community Orchestra is proud to present the second annual Youth Concerto Showcase!
The FCO would like to invite three High School students to perform a movement of a concerto with orchestral accompaniment at our February 28th, 2026 concert.
The soloists must choose a piece that is in the public domain. All pieces require approval from FCO. IMSLP.org is a great resource for finding public domain works.
Rehearsals are every Wednesday from 7 to 9pm at Harvest Baptist Church (7493 Old Mill Trail, Boulder, CO.) High School soloists must be available to rehearse with the Orchestra on February 4, 11, 18, and 25. The Dress Rehearsal is February 27 at 7pm at United Church of Christ (1500 9th Ave, Longmont). The Concert is February 28 at 4pm at United Church of Christ in Longmont.
If you are interested or have any questions about the event please email Misty at cbgreenteacher@gmail.com with your name, instrument, and piece by October 15th. When your piece is approved, students will submit a video audition of the first three minutes of their concerto by November 15th.
